Grandkids!

This week Lisa and Andrew visited from Rapid City, SD. It was wonderful to have them all here! The weather was perfect and Heber and I were so excited to see the grandkids. Let the spoiling begin! Monday we went to Snow Canyon (just 10 minutes away from home) to let Dory and Clayton play in the amazingly soft and beautiful sand dunes. They loved it! Above Papa is digging a hole with Dory.

Sand for digging, sand for drawing circles in with a stick, sand for squeezing between your toes and sand for hitchhiking a ride home in your shoes.

Dory especially enjoyed "planting" little sticks in the sand; little mini trees.

Digging down to the cooler sand below. As much fun for the grandparents as it was for the kids.

Soon it'll be too hot to venture out here in the daytime, but luckily we hit the prettiest week of the year! This same day we took the kids Lisa and I took the kids downtown to the splashpad and river walk. I think they would have spent the entire day here!

Clayton loved sitting and running in the water, just feeling it rush around his ankles was fun! Brian and Lisa follow behind.

My little sunflower Dory just blending in with the flowers. She had to pick a few...oh well. She is pretty as can be!

Clayton had the place almost to himself. We went in the morning before the clouds burned off...it was slightly cool but worth beating the crowds.

Brian poured several thousand cups of water that morning...why is playing with water so much fun? It just is.

Dory getting to know the cute little statue that sprays water. What a flirt.

Unfortunately we had to say our goodbyes this morning. The Monks are off the spend time with family in Sandy...more fun for them! Sad goodbyes for us. What a great time we all had.

Your grandbabies are almost as cute as mine! And I'm so glad you got to spend time with them - I have almost more fun than they do!
