Family

We went down to California this past Saturday to be with family and attend my mom's funeral on Tuesday, May 5. Lisa flew out on Friday and stayed till Sunday...she had bought her ticket weeks ago. She brought little Dory with her. It was wonderful for everyone to get to know her.
Here's Mary Anne with a beautiful flower wreath from the funeral. The funeral was a celebration of my mother's life, and it helps to have an amazing family. Various family members spoke including my wonderful Uncle Phil, my brother Craig, and my son James. My cousins Lisa Carter, Swen Spjut and Richard Slawson flew out to attend. Many from South Pasadena Ward came, also. And a note to all those who were unable to attend...a huge THANK YOU for all your kind words, prayers, cards, emails, phone calls and blogs. I feel such incredible love and support!
Here is Samantha Wolfe, Ryan and Cathrine's daughter. She is such a cutie who will win you in a staring contest. I think she looks like Cindy Lou Who.
Here's my father, Keith, holding the newest great-grandchild Dory Monks.
Here's Ryan and Cathrine with their family; Mia, Miles and Sammy.
Heber was so excited to meet his granddaughter Dory Margaret Monks, born Feb 23. Are we proud grandparents or what? As difficult and heartbreaking as this week has been, it has also been a time of healing with family. What a wonderful feeling to be chatting with siblings, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and my own children about Mom and all the fun memories. The word "fun" was mentioned so many times.
Here's Dad with some of the great grandchildren...Joey Wolfe, Dory Monks, Miles Wolfe, Sammy Wolfe and Mia Wolfe.
